Strada del Goethe - in der Münchner Stubn

"Really good place. We tried the antipasti italiano and it was really worth it. Good quality and quantity, so perfect. Specially the burrata and the parma ham, delicious. We ordered the Tartufata pizza and Il Troncheto. Both were big, tasty and really original. They also have the "classic" pizzas but we wanted to try something different. About the restaurant, the space is big and the service fast and friendly. I can only recommend this place. We will come back again."

"We chose this place as we heard the neapolitan pizzas were good, although this place is pretty much typical Bavarian restaurant. Not at all disappointed as the pizzas were truly awesome. Waiting time is a bit but we were there weekend so understandable. The bruschetta was fine, not awesome. The cranberry spritzer was good and the beer is very famous here. Location wise, very convenient as it's bang opposite the Munich main train station. The place has a great lively vibe and the rates are reasonable too. The restaurant is pet friendly so brownie points from me."

"Somewhat hidden Italian food in a typical German "Stube" with very good pizza. The food is good, portions are big, staff is very nice and the place has a lot of tables. Reservation is a plus, but walk-ins can also be accomodated."

"The BEST pizza we’ve ever eaten. Period. Even compare with those napoli pizzas in Italy. We couldn’t stop doing a happy dance with every bite we had. Truly delicious! - The dough? Ughhh so good!! - The very basic one with just tomato sauce, oregano, olive oil? Still so so good. Would order it over and over again. - The vegan cheese is also top. We ended up ordering another pizza haha. 3 pizzas for 2 people in 1 sitting. Not mention service is very friendly and professional. Strada del Goethe is just a pop-up restaurant, does that mean they will close it someday soon?… what a pity!"

"Mix of german fare and italian style pizza conveniently across from the central train station. Great beer selection with mainstays from Paulener and some rotating taps. I got one of the pizzas and it was solid, generous toppings. My wife got the fried cod which I would say looked a bit fish sticky but was decent. Great experience overall."

"This is a perfect spot when you are having a train to catch and want to have a food beforehand. The ambience is reminding a barn like experience it is quite quirky. The food is of good quality and the portions are huge. We were lucky to have an extremely lovely waitress. The food came out quickly and it is a relatively good value for money given the location. You can find German and Bavarian traditional food choices as well as some pizza for those who don’t particularly like German cuisine. Perhaps the only downside was that we had to ask for new cutlery because the one which had been set on the table in a mug was not exactly clean but the waitress had apologised explained it was perhaps Last night’s rush exchanged it ."

"Looking from outside in, you wouldn’t guess this would be one of the best pizzas you can find in Munich, since it’s well hidden in a very German restaurant. Service is fast and prices are fair for Munich standards. Try their specialty Strada del Goethe!"
